Life @ Ahmedabad

Established in 1411, Ahmedabad has been a confluence of cultures of all sorts. The melting pot of religions, Ahmedabad has had a troubled past. But over the years,  the city has been a peaceful, yet robust developing trade center,  also with an Adage- the Smart city.
Ahmedabad, the Manchester of east has brought rich cultural and commercial legacy into the 21st century. The industrial development has boosted employment opportunities and has attracted talents from  all over India.
The life quality is comparative in approach and may vary person to person, locality to locality, with lots of parameters. Before moving your fingers on calculator to find the cost of living, look at the features part.
To start with, lets take the case of infrastructure-
Ahmedabad boasts of broad roads, compared to many cities. Public transport has improved with municipal transport buses and Bus Rapid transit system (with dedicated traffic lane) allows commuting at ease.
PS: Development of Metro rail in city is on full swings. This shall ease to the current traffic situation.
Education: IIM-A has been part of folklore, cinema stories, and part of several rags-to-riches tales of students graduating from  here.
National Institute of Design, NIFT-Gandhinagar, DAIICT, Nirma University, Gujarat University,  LD Engineering College, IIT-Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad University, Navrachna University, PDPU-Gandhinagar, EDI-Gandhinagar are some of the prominent educational set-ups
Safety: I need not add more to it. the link says all for itself why it is one of safest cities in India.
Utilities:
With a  private electricity transmission company, we at Ahmedabad rarely face power cuts (Max 2 days of partial power cut in a year, only  due to maintenance issues)
Development brings convenience of grocery,  provision and other requirements like medical services etc in the vicinity at all the suburbs.
Cost of  Living:
Depending on your lifestyle. However, going by the most frugal ways, 15k is enough to  live in Ahmedabad for a  couple. Unverified surveys indicate that cost of living is about 13% lower than those in Bengaluru and 16% from Mumbai.
